The Dallas County Sheriff Office arrested a Selma man on Friday morning for drug charges.
Cedric Irby was arrested at 5:30 a.m. Friday morning on the 1122A block of Philpot Avenue, according to Dallas County Sheriff Mike Granthum.
Irby was charged with drug trafficking. Granthum said Irby’s bond is over $1.5 million and currently locked in the Dallas County Jail.
Granthum said over 40 grams of crack, one quarter pound of marijuana, over $300 in cash, rifle and a stolen handgun were found inside the residence along with a juvenile.
Granthum said the DCSO is still investigating the incident and more charges are likely for Irby, including Federal charges in the near future.
“In Dallas County we’re not putting up with it and we’re going to prosecute you to the fullest,” Granthum said. “We’re open for business in Dallas County, but we’re not open for drug business.”
