Selma resident Bryant Gordon was accepted into another National Honor Society this month.
Gordon was selected into Mississippi State’s chapter of The National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS).
Gordon, a freshman at MSU, said being part of the nation’s largest leadership honor society, means a lot to him. Gordon finished the fall semester with a 3.4 GPA and majoring in Kinesiology. He must maintain a 3.0 GPA at MSU.
“I would like to thank God because without him none of this would have happened,” Gordon said. “I am truly blessed. I am giving thanks to everyone that got me to where I am today.”
Gordon was a Top 10 Senior at Selma High last year and also graduated from the dual enrollment program at Wallace Community College-Selma. At Selma High, Gordon had a 4.04 GPA and a 3.2 GPA at WCCS. Gordon was also a wide receiver for the Saints’ football team.
“I am proud of how he is continuing to work hard since graduating from Selma High School and Wallace Community College-Selma,” said Rachel Gordon, Gordon’s mother.
