Morgan Academy golf team wins Pike tournament

The Morgan Academy golf team won the Pike Tournament on Monday.
The Senators won with a score of 298.
The entire team played well.
Arrington Mooney, a Snead State Community College signee, shot a team-leading 65 and earned low medalist honors.
Jones Free, a University of Alabama golf signee, shot 69.
Other Morgan Academy scores are: George Turner (81), Jude Assaad ((83), Brody Roberts (87), Ryder Hughey (88), Fair Garner (94), Wil Allison (96).
Morgan Academy second-year coach Will Pearce said he was pleased with the Senators’ effort on the road.
“I’m very proud of the whole team and the hard work they’re putting in,” Pearce said. “The strong senior leadership is encouraging the younger players on the team.”
Pearce said the squad to continues after each match.
“Every individual on the team is continuing to improve as golfer and more importantly, as people. We plan to keep working hard and see where that takes us.”
