Mr. Andrew Walker, our beloved brother, uncle, cousin and true friend, Andrew Walker was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away March 3, 2021 at the age of 62 years. He was born on September 14, 1958 in Uniontown, to Flora Green and Andrew Johnson.
Andrew attended Saginaw Ruben Daniel Lifelong Learning Center and later graduated from Stratford University. He was employed for many years with Sunoco Station (M 81 Highway) until his health declined. Andrew, was a very kind-hearted and loving gentleman, who always showed love to everyone he knew. Andrew enjoyed watching his favorite TV shows, western movies and sports. He loved traveling, spending time with his family, especially when going down south to his good old hometown called, Uniontown, Alabama: he would spike up a smile with joy every time. Andrew was loved by many and he will truly be missed. He leaves to cherish memories, his loving mother, Flora Green of Saginaw, Michigan; god-daughter, Albraneshia Ezell of Saginaw, Michigan (one who could make him smile and brighten his whole day); four sisters, Mary Lee Walker of Lansing, Michigan, Clara (Nathaniel) Gary of Uniontown, Reba (Limark) Tucker of McDonough, of Atlanta, and Katricia (Deon) Waller of Safford, ; five brothers, Lester Green and Clay Walker both of Saginaw, Michigan, Andrew (Brenda) Norfleet, and Johnnie (Pamela) Norfleet both of Tuscaloosa, and Sammuel (Shalia) Walker of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; two special aunts, (like his mother) Catherine Abraham of Saginaw, and Polly Smith of Ft. Wayne, IN; two uncles, William (Essie) Johnson of Uniontown, AL and William Walker of S.C.; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and special friends just to name a few; Michael Shepard, Sr., the Ezell family, Edward and Zack Walker, Dice Williams, Henrietta Billings, Elaine Parker, Genean, Joann and Alice Walker. To all of our loved ones, “Family and special friends” that were too numerous to mention, know that you are very much loved and we truly appreciate you from the bottom of our hearts. Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his father, Andrew Johnson; grandparents, Joanna and Henry Walker, Mary and Jimmey Johnson, many uncles, aunts, cousins including a special cousin, Sammie James Walker and a special friend, Clinton Works. The family extends special thanks to their cousin, Gloria Wells and Avis (Darrick) Abraham and Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48607. With the interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
