William Glenn Sexton, Jr. (Bill) was born January 24, 1960 in Selma, to William Glenn Sexton, Sr. and JoAnn Chance Sexton.  He passed away at the age of 61 on April 8, 2021. Bill was a 1978 graduate of Morgan Academy and attended Columbus College and LaGrange College Georgia on a basketball scholarship graduating in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Education.  After college Bill taught English and coached at Bradford High School in Starke, Florida, and continued his career at various schools across Alabama including his Alma Mater Morgan Academy.  He then ventured into business endeavors in automobile and technology sales.

In 2008, Bill made a profession of fatih in Christ at Meadowview Baptist Church, Starkeville, Mississippi.  Since that time, he served his Lord faithfully at Shiloh Baptist Church, Sardis, led a bible study at Safety Net, Minter, and most recently assisted with the youth group at Elkdale Baptist Church, Selma.

Bill and Lisa started dating in 2014 and married eighteen months later.  They spent much of their time together traveling, riding Harleys, camping and enjoying their fur babies Jake and Harley.

Bill is survived by his wife Lisa Hicks Sexton, his father William Glenn Sexton, Sr., three sons, William Parker Hinson, Christopher Hunter Hinson, Richard Alexander Baker, a grandson Jase Hunter Hinson, a sister, Mari Beth Sexton Diagostino, a niece Laken Sexton Jones, (Jeff), Uncles and Aunts, Mike and Eddie Joyce Sexton, Joe and Patty Sexton, Janie Sexton O”Gwynn, Tommy and Pam Sexton and numerous other family members.

Pallbearers are Tim Henderson, Barry Parker, Ronnie Roberts, Todd Stewart, Chuck Utsey and Rick Williams.

Honorary Pallbearers are his high school and college teammates.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Safe Harbor Women’s Medical Clinic or a charity of your choice.
