Morgan Academy made its debut in the Alabama Sportswriters Association (ASWA) Top 10 baseball poll.

The Senators are ranked ninth among AISA teams, owning a 18-6 record and 6-2 in Region play.

Osagie Aghedo threw a no-hitter as Morgan Academy beat Clarke Prep 6-2 on Tuesday, winning the area championship. Andrew Thomas had a bases-loaded triple for the Senators.

“I’m super proud of the guys, they just battling and playing the next pitch,” Senators coach Stephen Clements said.

“Jesus has blessed this team in so many ways. We are blessed and thankful for the mercy and grace he has shown us.”

Chris Gardner also had an RBI double.

The Senators get a first-round bye and will host the second round of the AISA playoffs which starts April 22.
