A Selma woman is being charged with murder.
Coretta S. Hall, 21, was arrested by the Selma Police Department on Friday morning, according to Selma Police Chief Kenta Fulford and Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson.
Hall is being charged with the murder of Darnell Bowie at Valley Creek Apartments. She is currently in the Dallas County Jail without bond.
“Officers were dispatched to the 11 block of Dallas Avenue in reference to a shooting,” Fulford said. “Upon arrival, officers discovered a 20-year-old black male on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim later died from his injuries. There is a suspect in custody.”
The SPD is still investigating the murder, the sixth of the year in Selma.
