Woodmen Life, Selma Chapter 3 donated to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office’s Project Lifesaver on Tuesday.
Buddy Wiltsie of Woodmen Life presented a $750 check to Dallas County Sheriff Mike Granthum. Project Lifesaver outfits those with autism, dementia and other cognitive disorders with tracking bracelets so that they may be easily located in the event they get lost.
“It’s one of our favorite programs,” Wiltsie said. “Project Lifesaver help families protect their loved ones.”
Granthum said the $750 check made by the organization will allow the sheriff’s department to provide tracking bracelets and drones.
“It means a lot to receive donations, especially at a time when people are cutting back on law enforcement across the country,” Granthum said. “The money helps us buy more drones and bracelets.”
