A man was killed Thursday afternoon at an Orville grocery store.
The Dallas County Sheriff Office arrested Byron Anderson for the murder of James Hunter, according to Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson. The incident occurred at the M &M Grocery Store in Orrville.
Anderson is currently in the Dallas County Jail under a no bond. He will be arraigned in the Dallas County Courthouse over the next couple of days.
“The victim was minding his own business,” Jackson said. “These gunslingers are killing people for no reason. Another gunslinger has been taken off the streets.”
The incident remains under investigation by the DCSO.
This is the 15th murder in Dallas County for 2021, including 13 in Selma. The other murder took place in Valley Grande.
