The city of Valley Grande will host its first annual Festival on Saturday.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Valley Grande Walking Trail.
Councilwoman Sara Day, who’s in charge of community events for the city council, said 26 vendors have lined up for the event, in addition to food trucks from Tally Ho and Harpersville and Kona Ice.
Two packs of Pumpkins were purchased from Dave’s Market.
A barrel train, Bouncy house, and hayride will also be available for the kids.
Valley Grande Mayor Wayne Labbe expects a strong turnout, especially before the Auburn-Georgia (2:30 p.m.) and Alabama-Texas A&M games (7 p.m.).
Labbe said months after taking over Mayor is that he wanted events for the community.
“I think it will be a nice event,” Labbe said. “I’m looking forward to the kids having fun.”
Labbe encouraged the city council to wear Valley Grande t-shirts.
