A Montgomery man was sentenced for robbery charges in the Dallas County Courthouse this week.
According to Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson, Jamarcus Hatcher pled guilty to first-degree robbery and was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Hatcher, 18, was about to go on trial — for two counts of armed robbery before his plea. He was sentenced by Dallas County Circuit Court Judge Marvin Wiggins.
Jackson said Hatcher and another man — robbed two people at gunpoint behind Selma Mall — back in September of 2019. He said the co-defendant’s case is pending.
“We have another gunslinger off the streets, he has robbed more folks than Jesse James,” Jackson said.
