Selma woman dies in Lowndes County accident

A Selma woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Lowndes County on Thursday morning.
Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports that Annick L. Rellier, 36, was fatally injured when the 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer she drove got struck by a 2018 Kenworth tractor-trailer driven by John M. Hayes, 32, of Mississippi.
Rellier was pronounced dead on the scene.
The crash occurred on U.S. 80 east near the 113.9 mile marker, approximately two miles east of Lowdnesboro. The crash took place around 7:35 a.m. Thursday morning.
No further details are available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the accident.
