Margaret Shelton Appel age 96 of Selma, passed away on January 20, 2022 at her home. She was born on August 3, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to the late Alfred Loys Shelton and the late Florence Beatrice Scott Shelton. She was a homemaker. She is survived by daughters, Barbara Appel Skrobak, Marshelle Appel, Kate Appel Himes, and Margaret Scott Appel; grandchildren, Frank Robert (Joedy) Skrobak, Walter Scott (Christina) Skrobak, Kinnon Himes (Pete) Fisher, Coleman Himes, Emily Kate (Heath) House, and Hobson Youngblood; great-grandchildren, Kyle Skrobak, Ryan Skrobak, Ashton Skrobak, Blair Skrobak, Sloan Skrobak, Wilks Fisher, Walker Fisher, Adalyn House, and Bennett House.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Walker Appel and her second husband, Louie Albritton, Sr. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Pineview Memory Gardens in Valley Grande with Minister Tom McLemore of Houston Park Church of Christ officiating. There will be no visitation, everyone will meet at the cemetery. Masks are strongly encouraged. Honorary Pallbearers are Robert Skrobak, Walt Skrobak, Coleman Himes, Hobson Youngblood, Wilks Fisher, Walker Fisher. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Houston Park Church of Christ or the television program: “In search of The Lord’s Way” P.O. Box 371 Edmond, OK 73083-9901. The family is grateful for the loving care provided by the staff of Homestead Hospice. Final care and arrangements have been faithfully to the care of Selma Funeral Home.
