The City of Valley Grande has started a tradition for Easter.
For the second straight year, Valley Grande will hold a Easter Egg Hunt at its City Park on April 9, starting at 11 a.m.
The Egg Hunt will take place the week before Easter and 24 hours ahead of Palm Sunday.
The event was held last year two weeks after Easter because heavy rainstorms postponed the event. Despite being after Easter, kids and parents from Valley Grande and Selma still showed up.
We applaud Mayor Wayne Labbe and council members Sara Day, Kay Davidson, Jane Harris, Robby Rose and Bruce Hughes for putting on a strong holiday event.
We’re rooting for bright sunshine and mild weather this time around.
