The Selma Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. honored a pair of Civil Rights Iconic women earlier this month.
The legacies of Amelia Boynton Robinson and Margaret Jones Moore were recognized and awards passed to Bennie R. Crenshaw and Hatawtha McGhee. Crenshaw received the Women of Action Leadership Courage Award. McGhee received the Perpetuating Empowerment Ignited by Mentors – Leadership II Award..
We are always glad to see the legacies of Moore and Robinson be remembered and carried on to the next generation. They played key roles in racial injustice during the Civil Rights Era.
It is something that this generation of youth should know.
