The two men injured in a shooting Wednesday night in the 1400 block of Water Avenue in downtown Selma have been identified.

According to Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson, the victims identified in the shooting are David Lewis and Robert Orr. Jackson said both victims are expected to survive their wounds.

Video of shooting obtained by The Selma Times-Journal shows two people standing in Water Avenue involved in a verbal altercation. One of those subsequently shot in the melee appears to draw a gun and point at the other, who draws a gun of his own and begins shooting as he runs.

The video shows patrons leaving a club called Freebandz Lounge scrambling for cover after the shooting breaks out. The club is located two blocks from the Selma Police Department.

Jackson said the Selma Police Department is investigating the incident and has identified a person of interest in the shooting. Multiple calls to the Selma Police Department for comment on this incident were not returned.
