Valedictorian, All-State DB top Keith High graduates

Keith High School had a unique graduation ceremony.
The Class of 2022 received their diplomas Wednesday in the School Gymnasium.
Za’Kiya Tolbert earned the honor of Class Valedictorian. The second-highest honor went to Terrell Lumpkin, one of the best athletes in Dallas County.
“Being named Class Valedictorian is a great honor to have,” said Tolbert, who will attend Faulkner University. “Everything I do is for my family.”
Lumpkin said the position of Salutatorian ranks high among his feats at Keith High. Lumpkin played defensive back and quarterback at Keith High as well as basketball and baseball. Lumpkin signed a football scholarship with Allen University.
The athletic honors Lumpkin received as a senior are: The Selma Times-Journal offensive MVP; ASWA All-State first team defense, Area 5, Class 1A basketball tournament MVP, playing in the Blue-Grey All-Star football game“The honor of Salutatorian is a great achievement,” Lumpkin said.
