Camden man killed Thursday in Wilcox County

A Camden man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Thursday morning in Wilcox County.
Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Corporal Reginal M. King reported Friday that Demontra A. Nettles, 27, was fatally injured when the 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer left the roadway and struck a culvert. Nettles was a passenger in the vehicle.
Nettles was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet, Jamarcus Thompson, 22, also a Camden resident, was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred around 6 a.m. on Alabama 10 near the 83 mile marker, four miles east of Camden.
No further details are available as Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate the accident.
