Valley Grande Council announces Fall Festival date

Several subjects headlined Valley Grande City Council meeting on Monday night.
The entire council was present: Mayor Wayne Labbe, council members Kay Davidson, Sara Day, Jane Harris, Robbie Rose, Bruce Hughes and Clerk/Treasurer Kim Harris.
Valley Grande announced that it will have a fall festival on Oct. 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Valley Grande Walking Trail.
The council unanimously approved the date.
Day, who’s in charge of community events, said she has already talked to vendors about participating.
In other council news:
Hughes said he talked with Vision Security Technologies about a park security gate at Valley Grande Ball Park. They gave him a estimate of $35,000 to repair the gate.
Hughes also inquired about the camera system at the park. Hughes said he was told the boxes were burned and not made to stand the heat.
The council voted to put bids up for the Park Security Gate at its next council meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, September 6 at 6 p.m.
-Kim Harris also gave the council a profit and report to look over.
