Selma man killed Monday morning

A Selma man died from gunshot wounds on Sunday morning near Voeglin Avenue.
According to Dallas County District Attorney Michael Jackson and Selma Police Chief Kenta Fulford, Kermanski Malone, 37, was killed between Voeglin Avenue and St. Phillip Street around 5:30 a.m. Monday morning.
Both Jackson and Fulford said that Malone sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the body.
“Selma Police officers responded to the area of Voeglin Avenue and St. Phillip Street to a male subject being down,” Fulford said.
Fulford said “there are no suspects identified at this time.”
The case remains under investigation by the Selma Police Department. Detectives are actively pursuing the case.
This is the ninth murder in Selma for 2022.
