A fire took place in Walmart on Sunday evening.
An official from Walmart Selma released a statement on Monday, saying the store is temporarily closed until further notice. “As an essential store to the community, our goal is to assess any damage and reopen as quickly as possible,” Walmart said in a statement.
According to Selma Fire Department interim Chief Franklin Edwards, the fire started around 5:45 p.m. Sunday evening and went over two aisles. The fire apparently started in the craft section of the store, near the paper goods aisle. The store’s fire sprinklers put out the fire. No one was injured.
