The Salvation Army is seeking volunteers for its Red Kettle Campaign during the Christmas holiday season.
The bell ringing began last Friday and will continue until Christmas Eve, Saturday December 24. The bell ringing will take place Monday through Saturday during that period.
The campaign theme for this year’s Red Kettle Campaign is” “One Kettle, One Family, One thousand dollars.”
Service Center Manager Kathy Bunch said Monday that the organization is trying to raise $1,000 per family.
Here are the places where the Salvation Army will be ringing bells: Walmart, Walgreen’s, Winn-Dixie and Dave’s Market in Valley Grande.
Funds raised during the Red Kettle Campaign goes back into the community. Earlier this year, they assisted citizens with $16,000 in paying water bills. They also assisted citizens with $45,000 in utilities bills.
