Deacon George Moore was born in Marion Junction, Alabama on November 8, 1943, to Lewis, Sr. and Roberta Moore. He transitioned from this world of labor and pain to the land of rest and reward on Monday, November 28, 2022. Deacon Moore is preceded in death by his parents: Lewis, Sr. and Roberta Moore; his brothers: Willie Phillips and Lewis Moore, Jr.; his sister: Johnnie Mae Goldston.

He leaves on Earth to celebrate my life, precious memories, sweet spirit and a ton of stories; his loving, devoted wife, and world traveling partner of 47 years, Irma Jean Moore; two daughters: Veronica D. Blake (Calvin) Posley of Houston, TX and Yolanda G. Moore of Selma, AL; two sons: Kendric J. (Angela) Blake of Jacksonville, NC and Minister Joffrey D. (Pamela) Moore of Montgomery, AL; seven grandchildren: Iyanna Brown of Pensacola, FL; Terance White of Dallas, TX; Dr. Briana (Sean) Lewis-Sutton of Las Vegas, NV; Kendric Blake, Jr. of Charlotte, NC; Jordan England-Moore of Buford, GA; Kira Johnson and Kinsley Joi Moore of Montgomery, AL; four (4) great-grandchildren; Malachi, Marley, Mylah, and Zoey; special niece, Ebony Blake of Birmingham, AL; (2) sisters: Mary Weeden of Selma, AL and Corine (Joseph) Fulgham of Gretna, LA; one (1) brother-in-law, Pastor Larry (Clara) Blake of Selma, AL; two (2) sisters-in-law: Gloria Blakes of Richland, MS and Cynthia (Reginald) Houser of Gadsden, AL (who transition on 11/26/22); four generation of nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
