The City of Valley Grande will host its annual Christmas in the Park event on Sunday afternoon.

The event will be held from 2-4 p.m. at the Valley Grande Walking Trail.

Councilwoman Sara Day, who’s in charge of the Walking Trail and Community Events, said that Santa Claus and the Grinch will be at the park and take pictures with the kids.

“We worked hard on this event for everyone to enjoy,” Day said.

Valley Grande Mayor Wayne Labbe encouraged city residents to attend the event.

“A lot of hard work has been put into Christmas in the Park,” Labbe said. “We need to get into the Christmas Spirit.”

Day has worked on decorating the park for Christmas before Thanksgiving. She said Parks and Recreation Director Bubba Holley and former Valley Grande City Councilwoman Tammy Troha were both tremendous helping her decorate the park for Christmas.

Valley Grande’s Christmas in the Park always draw a strong crowd over the years.
