Dallas County represented on ASWA All-State football team

Dallas County made its usual contribution to the Alabama Sportswriters Association All-State football team.
Nine players earned either first-team, second-team, or honorable mention honors.
Selma High defensive back DaKaari Nelson made the Class 5A All-State defense first team at defensive back. Southside’s Derick Smith made the Class 3A first team for the second straight year, but this season at defensive back. Smith made the first-team offense last season.
Keith High defensive back Javon Richardson made the second team in Class 1A.
Morgan Academy had its fingerprints on the AISA All-State team. Wide receiver Rhyne Williams made the AISA first-team offense, while linebacker Allen Michael Creech made the AISA second-team defense.
Selma defensive lineman Fabyous Robinson was an honorable mention in 5A. Southside quarterback Roosevelt Towns III was an honorable mention selection as an athlete in 3A.
Morgan Academy punter T.B. Clements and wide receiver Allen Lightfoot were both honorable mention selections in AISA.
