The Dallas County Tags and Registration office will not be sending out tag renewal notices for the month of January because of the implementation of a new software program., according to Dallas County License Commissioner Sandra Cowan.
Cowan said installing the new software program won’t affect Dallas County residents getting their tags during the entire month of January. Residents can access and process renewals online at www.dallascountytags.com or by mail, with a fee of $1.
“A member of the staff will gladly assist a person in the office,” Cowan said. “We only ask that they please be patient with us as we make this transition.”
Cowan said that the Dallas County and Registration office will be sending out tag renewal notices for the month of February.
Cowan said the new software will be more effective for the tag and license office as well as local residents.
“The new software will enable us to assist our customers more effectively and efficiently,” Cowan said. “Our goal is to offer the best possible customer experience.”
