Selma Police Department investigating murder on Saturday

The Selma Police Department is investigating a murder that occurred on Saturday night.
According to interim Selma Police Chief Tommie Reese, the body of Aaron Clines, was found at the 1411 block of Lauderdale Street.
“On February 18, 2023, at approximately 10:01 pm, Selma Police Department received a call in reference to shots being fired in the area of Lauderdale Street,” Reese said. “Upon arrival of SPD, officers noticed a male victim on the ground in front 1411 Lauderdale Street, with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.”
Reese said that Paramedics were called to the scene, but the victim was later pronounced dead on the scene by Dallas County Coroner Alan Dailey.
No further details are available at this time and this case remains under investigation by the SPD.
