The Selma Police Department, the Dallas County Sheriff Department, State Bureau of Investigation, and Marine Police and the Rescue Squad are investigating an empty car found Tuesday at the Edmund Pettus Bridge.
Dallas County Sheriff Mike Granthum said that the vehicle was found parked on the bridge without a driver, but had blood on it.
The owner of the vehicle did not show up at work yet today,
“I am not sure what we have,” Granthum said. “We are digging right now. We just don’t right now.”
According to Interim Selma Police Chief Tommy Reese, the car was found by SPD early Tuesday morning.
The case remains under investigation by the DCSO, SPD, SBI and Marine Police and Rescue.
