Pauline Barnes Lane of Valley Grande, passed away at her home on Monday, March 13, 2023 at the age of 86. She was born in Alabama on February 24, 1937 to the late Marshall D. Barnes and the late Ora S. Barnes. She is survived by her son, Robert Lane, Jr. (Maurice Duharte); siblings, Christine Hale, Maxine Stockman, and Lucille Crocker, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Marshall D. and Ora S. Barnes; siblings, Luther Barnes, James Barnes, Jackson Barnes, Braxton Barnes, Floyd Barnes, Tommy Barnes, Jean Edwards, and Mary Jo Chance; and nephews, Mark Edwards, Donald Barnes, Ronnie “Shot” Barnes, James Thomas Barnes, and Eugene Barnes. There will be a private service held at a later date. Final care and arrangements have been faithfully entrusted to the Selma Funeral Home.
