State and local law enforcement officials are investigating an unexpected illness that happened Thursday between two Selma High Schools.
School officials said that the students were taken to the hospital shortly after 12:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
Selma City Schools Superintendent Dr. Zickeyous Byrd released a statement and addressed the situation.
“The overall wellness and safety of our students are our main priority,” Byrd said. “Selma High’s faculty and staff are trained to handle situations of this magnitude, and they followed protocol.”
