Two year old vandalism case in Valley Grande still pending

A vandalizing case at Valley Grande City Park from over two years ago is still pending.
Valley Grande City Councilwoman Sara Day said that she recently checked with the Dallas County Court System and Dallas County Sheriff Mike Granthum for an update on the December 18 2020 case.
Some Christmas decorations were damaged and other items were stolen at the Valley Grande City Park walking trail.
Granthum said the incident was caught on camera. A wooden Christmas tree, electric reindeer were stolen, but later recovered at 122 Deepwoods Circle a few days later. Granthum said it’s the residence of Jessy Jeter
The city spent $5,000 on the holiday decorations.
Day also gave an update at a recent Valley Grande City Council meeting to her Council mates: Mayor Wayne Labbe, council members Jane Harris, Kay Davidson, Bruce Hughes and Robby Rose.
“The Dallas County Court system will reach t me as a point of contact on the case with any developments,” Day said.
The case remains under investigation by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.
