Dallas County Zeta Phi Beta Chapter Awards 3 scholarships

The Gamma Alpha Alpha Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. awarded scholarships to three seniors from Dallas County Schools.
Kamara Talton of Dallas County High School and Keith High’s Torah Sanders and Delandra Wilson each received $500 scholarships at their respective schools .Dr. Constance Hendricks, Chapter President, and Scholarship Committee members, Shelly McGee and Lynda Blackmon Lowery, made the presentations in Orrville and Plantersville.
“Our chapter members are honored and excited to be able to invest into the lives of our future leaders,” Hendricks said. “We each value education as scholarship as scholarship is a key core value of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated.
“The chapter is comprised of ladies with Bachelor’s, Masters and Doctorates. So the privilege and obligation to give back is our honor to offer to graduates accepting our gift.”
Here’s the bio on each of the scholarship recipients:
–Torah Sanders, Keith High School, will be attending Wallace Community College Selma majoring in nursing. She plans to become a neonatal nurse working in the neonatal intensive care unit
–Delandra Wilson, Keith High School, will be attending Wallace Community College Selma majoring in nursing. She wants to be of service to others because of “the joy I get when I see their faces!” Her perseverance is remarkable and she works to assist others.
-Kamora Talton, Dallas County High School will be attending Talladega College majoring in mathematics. She wants to become a math teacher and later an entrepreneur. She loves excelling academically and looks forrad to career opportunities.
