Despite heavy rain on Tuesday night, the city of Orrville celebrated the Fourth of July with a fireworks show at its community center for the community.
Citizens from Valley Grande and Selma also joined Orrville to combat the rain and waited it out to enjoy the show.
While people waited for the firework show to begin, a food truck was set up so people could eat before the show.
People sat in the back of their cars while some sat in lawn chairs cheering with each firework that lit up the cloudy and foggy night sky.
Despite the weather, the turnout was everything the city of Orrville had hoped for.
They were pleased with being able to have the firework show despite the bad weather earlier in the day.
“We had over 100 people there it was a great success in spite of the rain the Mayor was very pleased,” Orrville resident Lula Watters said.
