The Keith Bears are looking to get over the hump this season as they prepare for their 2023-24 football season after suffering a close loss in the first round of the playoffs last year to Loachapoka.

The Bears will be one of the rare teams in Dallas County to start their season on home field this August when they take on Bullock County on August 25. Keith will then go on a short drive across Dallas County to Plantersville where they will meet up with the Hornets in one of the big rivalry games of the season at Dallas County High School. The last time these two teams met the Bears were at home and defended home field against Dallas County by a final of 28-6. Keith will have their second road game in a row the following week when they take on Linden on September 8. On September 15 University Charter comes to town for a quick home game for the Bears before they are on the road for two weeks again on September 22 and 29 against Marengo and Southside. Orrville will get a good dose of the Bears as the season winds down as they play at home three out of the final four weeks of the regular season. On October 6 Amelia Love Johnson make a stop in Orrville followed by Sweet Water on October 13. The Bears play their final road game against R.C Hatch on October 27. Last season Keith soundly defeated Hatch 42-0. Keith will close out their regular season on November 3 against Isabella. Last season the Bears went 5-6 overall and 4-2 in 1A Region 3.
