Former Senators Head Coach Stephen Clements coached both Morgan Academy players to be drafted to the MLB. Gunnar Henderson in 2019 and now Lee in 2023. He said that Lee was something special on the mound.
“He worked as hard as any player I ever had,” Clements said. “He was by far the best pitcher that I ever coached. He hit the mound and he was a bulldog. H
“e filled the strike zone up. His breaking ball was above average. His fastball was 91-92 in high school now he is up to 94-95 mph in college. He is one of the biggest competitors that I ever coached.”
