An Editorial Opinion of the Selma Times-Journal

Selma Times-Journal readers have been asking for more local coverage. Recent publication improvements, designed to answer our reader’s request, are happening now with a focus on “quality over quantity,” and keeping what matters most to you, our valued readers, at the center of our efforts.

Beginning on Aug. 30, bi-weekly print and e-editions are tightening up. We have condensed our layout to twelve pages, cutting back on statewide news to include expanded local coverage. This effort, coupled with a recent scale back to two weekly e-editions, allows our staff to be out in the Selma and Dallas County communities, covering the people, places, and events you value most. All previous content our readers expect and enjoy will continue to be available on our website, www.selmatimesjournal.com. In addition, readers can sign up for our daily newsletter that will deliver digital news daily to their email inbox.
