Southside and Keith both returned to the win column this week.

Southside 50, Sumter Central 6: The Panthers (2-1) got their first Region 3, Class 3A victory.

MJ Reese passed for three touchdowns and ran for another score. Derick Smith had three total touchdowns, Erick Smith, Amadarion Smith and Derrick Surles also scored.

Keith 26, University Charter 16: Aveon Young ran for three touchdowns and threw a 35-yard scoring toss to Jarius Sanders to lead Keith (3-1, 2-1 Region 3 Class 1),

Holtville 21, Selma 0:  The Saints slipped to 0-4, their worst start in over 30 yards, Selma has been shutout in its last two games.

Montevallo 42, Dallas County 8: The Hornets (0-3, 0-2) 8dropped another Region 3, Class 4A contest in Planterville. ALkreem Wilson caught a touchdown pass from Kodell Sharp.

Evangel-Montgomery 56, Meadowview Christian School 20: The Trojans remained winless on the season, falling on the road.
