Sweet Trails Alabama will visit Selma next week as part of a statewide tour.
The tour will stop at the Selma-Dallas County Public Library on Tuesday from 3-5 p.m.
Selma-Dallas County Public Library Executive Director Becky Nichols said she’s looking forward to visit Sweet Trails Alabama.
“We are proud to welcome Sweet Alabama to Home Sweet Home Selma, Alabama,” Nichols said.
Sweet Trails Alabama is an event that identifies local, regional, and statewide trail projects
The statewide tour highlights routes, trail communities, and outdoor recreation economy sites, and illuminates how the Sweet Trails Alabama project can create new opportunities in health and wellness, tourism, economic development, entrepreneurial growth, quality of life, workforce development, community engagement, and natural resource conservation.
The five-day, nine-stop tour will also stop in Huntsville, Florence, Tuscaloosa, Atmore, Dothan, Montgomery, Birmingham, and Jacksonville.
On the journey, Sweet Trails Alabama representatives, along with guest speakers, will share their inspiring vision for strengthening community bonds and creating more opportunities throughout Alabama.
The Sweet Trails Alabama Swing Around the State Tour is open to the public and made possible by the Alabama Association of Resource Conservation and Development Councils. These nine Alabama RC&D Councils are made up of volunteers who identify the unmet needs in their communities and create solutions across the state
