Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

The Meadowview Christian School football team finally snapped a six-year losing streak last week.
The Trojans hadn’t won a game since 2017 until beating Trinity Christian 52-42 on Homecoming at Wadsen Field.
When John Treherne became MCS’ head coach this year, his goal was to see improvement each week as the season progressed.
The effort paid off with the homecoming victory, which freshman Sean Pope scored six touchdowns.
We rewarded that effort by naming Pope The Selma Times-Journal player of the week.
The entire team gets a pat on the back: Thomas Goodwin, Trey Hollingshead, Landon Kinman, Hayden Mott, Sean Davis, Morgan Barnes, Trent Ballard, CJ Ross, Cole Ballard, Braden Little, Kemron Pritchett, Rashaan Rasberry, Jacob Sudsberry, Kammharion McMillian, Deacon Manley, Maverick Simmons, Bentley Smith, Landin Stubbs, AJ Walker and Chandler Harrison.
Assistant coach John Sudsberry, and the MCS Administration deserve credit as well.
By not giving up, the Trojans showed courage and class in overcoming adversity.
It may be only one game against nine defeats but winning had to start someplace.
