Selma man charged with capital murder

A Selma man was charged with capital murder by the Selma Police Department this week.
According to Selma Police Chief Kenta Fulford, Tramaine C. Walter, 33, is charged with the murder of a 32-year-old female whose identity was not revealed.
On Nov. 12 around 2:57 p.m., Selma Police Department (SPD) officers were dispatched to Vaughan Regional Medical Center (VRMC) regarding an unresponsive gunshot victim. Upon arrival, SPD officers observed a wounded 32-year-old female. The victim later succumbed to her injuries.
During the investigation, SPD detectives were able to identify the murder suspect as Walter, who also goes by the alias “Cmoe Carter Jr.”
Walter is wanted for two counts of capital murder. SPD officers said the suspect has an extensive and violent criminal history and should be considered armed and dangerous.
