The Selma Housing Authority (SHA) has taken big steps under the leadership of Executive Director Kennard Randolph.
The latest accomplishment under Randolph was a $500,000 Choice Neighborhoods & HUD Lead Grant, courtesy of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Some of the funding will improve the George Washington Carver (GWC) Homes.
We appreciated how Randolph quickly gave credit to Selma Mayor James Perkins Jr. and the SHA board of directors. Randolph’s relationship with the City of Selma is tremendous in times like these. We need everyone on the same page and playing team ball, two things Randolph truly believes in.
The call may have come last minute about the press conference announcing the grant, but we don’t mind. We’re always glad to inform the Selma Times-Journal readers of the good things Randolph is planning for the SHA. Randolph cares about the Selma community and so do we.
