Gospel Tabernacle Church continues to seek volunteers for its homeless shelter. The homeless shelter is open daily from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
Gospel Tabernacle Pastor John E. Grayson said the shelter needs several volunteers because it is a community shelter.
Countless members of Gospel Tabernacle Church have volunteered their services at the homeless shelter, including Dr. Kesia Smith and her daughter, Kacie Brown.
LeMarkus Snow, owner of Snow’s Cleaning Service, said that the homeless shelter is one of many things where Grayson donates in Selma.
“His works just spread around this town,” Snow said. “He is one great man of God and without him I don’t know where Selma would be. His heartbeat travels around our town. On my toughest days he even mentors me.”
