Four Dallas County Schools survived the first round of sub-regional basketball playoffs in their respective classes and advanced to regional semifinals..
Keith High boys and girls joined Selma High girls and Southside boys moving into the Central Regional semifinals, which start this week at Bill Harris Arena in Birmingham. Selma boys and Southside girls were eliminated by losses in sub-regional play.
The Bears beat Notasulga 70-54 in a Class 1A sub-regional contest played Feb. 10. Keith will meet Calhoun in a semifinal contest on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
The Lady Bears smacked Loakaopolka 48-18 in a 1A girls’ sub-regional contest played on Feb. 9. Keith meets Autaugaville in a semifinal contest on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
Southside defeated Beulah 54-36 in a Class 3A sub-regional contest on Feb. 10. The Panthers face Trinity in a Central Regional semifinal on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
The Lady Saints beat Valley in a 5A girls sub-regional contest on Feb. 10. Selma meets Marbury in a Central Regional semifinal on Friday at 9 a.m.
