Julia J. (Judy) Horton of Selma, passed away peacefully at her home on Feb. 10 with her children by her side. Judy was born in Selma on Aug. 13, 1943 and graduated from Orrville High School in 1961. She is preceded in death by her parents RB (Julia) Curry, Sr. and sisters Carolyn Simpkins and Janice Blanton. Surviving siblings are her twin brother RB (Darlene) Curry Jr. and sisters Linda (Jim) Jones and Ann Hindman.
Judy will be dearly missed by her three children: Marie (Joe) Escobar, Carol (Casey) Hubbard and Doug (Tracy) Horton.
She was proud to be called Memaw by five grandchildren Jennifer (John) Riley, Ryan Hughes, Payton (Kyle) King, Jamie (Anthony) Haskell and McKenzie (Nathan) Cogle.
Judy is further survived by eight great grandchildren: Nora and Mack Riley, Knox and Talen King; Everly, Noah and Saylor Haskell and Emerald Hughes, as well as many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Aubie and her cat, Kitty Kitty!
A celebration of life will be held at Westwood Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Feb. 16.
