St. Paul’s Episcopal Church is preparing Selma and Dallas County residents for the Easter season with its Lenten Lunch speaker series this month.
We love the theme, “Finding God in the Queen City” which features a variety of prominent business leaders in Dallas County.
At the end of February, Reflections Coffee Shop owner Jackie Smith was the guest speaker. We admire Smith for continuing to thrive in the Queen City and often volunteering her services to help those in need.
On March 6, Craig Airfield & Industrial Authority Executive Director Jim Corrigan was the guest speaker. We were impressed with Corrigan’s discussion about God selecting leaders, ranging from Christopher Columbus to Martin Luther King Jr. and “Bloody Sunday.”
Becky Nichols, Executive Director of Selma and Dallas County Public Library, will be the guest speaker on Wednesday at noon. We never get tired of hearing Nichols talk passionately about reading. We expect to hear another interesting story from her.
On March 20,, Charlie Lucas, Owner & Operator of The Tin Man Studio will be the speaker.
We applaud The Reverend Amy M. George, Rector at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for coming up with a strong religious series for the area to enjoy before Easter Sunday on March 31. We can’t wait for what George has in store for the future.
