Lady Patriots honored by state conference

Four Wallace Community College-Selma women’s basketball players were honored by the Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) basketball team.
Ta’Myla Allen earned first-team honors. La’Niyah Anderson, Tricia Suttle, and Ashley Washington made the second team. Allen averaged a team-high 14 points and four assists a game. Anderson averaged 11 points. Washington averaged 10 points and six
rebounds. Suttle averaged nine points and eight rebounds.
Head coach Herman Turner said he appreciated the Lady Patriots (7-16) getting honored,
“We’re extremely proud of the young ladies’ hard work and dedication,” Turner said. “It’s a well-deserved honor for these players and reflects their contributions to the team’s success. Being recognized in the postseason awards is a testament to their hard work and talent.”
