Selma City Schools honor Dr. Kesia Smith

Selma City Schools recognized R.B. Hudson Steam Academy Assistant Principal Dr. Kesia Smith during National Assistant Principal Week.
“She works tirelessly to support the school’s principal, bolster educators, and inspire scholars to do their best,” SCS said in a statement. “Dr. Smith, thanks for all you do to make your school one of the best in the district.”
Smith, an educator for nearly 25 years, said she thanks the community and school officials for their love and support.
Smith was born and raised in Selma. She graduated from Selma High School in 1994. Smith has worked in the SCS and Dallas County Schools System.
A member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Smith is a member of Gospel Tabernacle Church.
Smith has a degree from Troy University, Master’s Degree in Counseling from Alabama State and Education Specialist at the University of West Alabama and a doctorate in Leadership at Samford University.
Smith has a daughter, Kacie Brown.
