GlaxoSmithKline assistant general counsel and Selma native Dondi West participated on a panel of cybersecurity and legal experts at Rivest, Shamir, and Adleman (RSA) Conference 2024 in San Francisco.
The panel, titled “Navigating the Legal Landscape of Generative AI in Cybersecurity,” addressed on Tuesday from 8:30-9:20 a.m. PDT the complex legal and risk management considerations surrounding the increasing use of generative AI in the world of cybersecurity.
West has a strong background in cybersecurity, advising senior tech, digital and security leaders on cybersecurity matters at global companies like GSK, TikTok, and Microsoft. West’s background in both cybersecurity and law affords him a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities presented by genAI.
“I’m honored to be a part of this critical conversation at RSA,” West said. “As organizations increasingly embrace genAI technologies, it’s vital that we proactively address the novel legal challenges and risks that come with this innovation. I look forward to collaborating with my esteemed colleagues on the panel to provide practical guidance for businesses.”
RSA Conference, which continues through Thursday at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, is a global event where the cybersecurity community converges to discuss current and future concerns, gain access to experts and explore the latest ideas and solutions.
