The Selma City Council announced Wednesday that a due process hearing date for Police Chief Kenta Fulford will be held on May 29 at 5 p.m. at City Hall.
Fulford was placed on Administrative leave by Mayor James Perkins Jr. on April 30. Perkins outlined his reasons for placing Fulford on Administrative leave at a May 1 news conference.
Last year, Perkins put Fulford on administrative, but the city council reinstated him.
When reached by The Selma Times-Journal, Selma City Council President Billy Young and city councilwoman Jannie Thomas both declined to comment.
