Ellwood Christian Academy had the smallest graduation class in Dallas County, but its 10 seniors packed a punch.
Class valedictorian Christie La’Keshia Boswell and salutatorian Fredrick Daniel Wilson Jr. led a senior class filled with versatility.
Boswell, who will attend Jacksonville State University in the fall, said she rose above negativity to finish as the top student. Boswell will major in psychology with the eventual goal to become a clinical psychiatrist.
“It feels great to get named valedictorian,” Boswell said, “I had a lot of things to overcome to reach the top.”
Wilson said it’s an honor to finish as the second-best student in ECA’s Class of 2024. In the fall, Wilson will study welding at Wallace Community College-Selma.
“I feel good about being the salutatorian,” Wilson said. “I’m looking forward to restart welding at WCCS.”
The rest of ECA’s graduates: DiAngelo Dontaz Acoff, Brandon Rashaad Frison, Eriyelle Amariah Marshall, Jalen Naquell Prince, Sikya Millah Peasant, Kweli Simone Rose, Rodney LeShawn Richardson Jr. and Latavia Marshay Williams.
